Our Services
ADULT THERAPY
Psychotherapy
Our clinicians are trained in a variety of psychotherapy techniques, including but not limited to, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, sand tray therapy, mindfulness and somatic based approaches, and solution-focused brief therapy.
EMDR
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is an approach for processing trauma. Through use of bilateral stimulation and a targeted treatment plan, clients are able to reprocess trauma in a way that is stabilizing and supportive, using the brain and its neural networks as our guide.
Parenting Support
We understand that when we’re treating children, they are not the only ones that need support. Separate parenting sessions are available to meet the needs of your family as a whole. Our clinicians have mastered how to uphold confidentiality with your child while providing support and care for parents.
CHILDRENS THERAPY
Instead of relying only on words, sand tray therapy allows children (and teens and adults!!) to express thoughts and feelings utilizing a tray of sand and miniature figurines. The scenes created represent their inner world, including worries, strengths, relationships, and experiences. Sand tray is symbolic and hands-on, and provides a research-based method to help process emotions, trauma, anxiety, and life changes in a natural and developmentally appropriate manner. As noted by Homeyer and Sweeney (2017), sand tray supports emotional exploration and is particularly helpful when verbal communication alone is not enough, making it a valuable modality for expressing internal experiences.
Sand Tray Therapy
Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate approach to mental health care for children. It is structured and theoretically based, meaning there is a “rhyme and a reason” to everything a play therapist does and has in the play room! Play therapy is essential for children as they don’t have access to the same levels of cognitive understanding and verbal language as adults do to process mental health struggles through talk therapy.
